Father’s Day…It’s the Best!
As we celebrate this “Father’s Day” I am reminded of the blessings we have in our family.
My Mom and Dad, Norm and Ina Palmer are alive and well at 92 and 88 and live independently in their own home. We visit with them as often as we can and enjoy their company and counsel. They have been models for us and our kids and now our grandkids.
Nancy’s dad, Robert Sloat, 94 is healthy and lives on his own at Crock’s Point New Brunswick. Nancy had a great visit with her dad last week.
Our kids and their spouses have all of their parents intact and well and we are blessed with great love and communication within our entire extended family where we are blessed with friendship with the other sets of parents as well.
Nancy and I have been so honored to be parents to two incredible women who have chosen their mates wisely and brought forth their own children, four on the ground and one on the way!
I am reminded of a great song that I have sung many times with my Quartet, Seventh Wave.
“There is Beauty all Around,
When There’s Love At Home”.
This is such an amazing truth and really, not much else matters in the long run!
Last evening we got to go fishing with Sally, Mick and the boys and we ate the results of our little excursion for breakfast.
Goin’ fishin’ with the Grandkids….Priceless!
Just a brief note to day to all the dads out there; In and out of our family….Love Well, Love Deeply and Love Often….there isn’t much else!
Dad’s everywhere, bless you all.
